About Danny Bishop |
|
Danny was born and raised in the Western North Carolina mountains, near Asheville. He was exposed to music and musical instruments from the time he could walk. Not only is he a fine violin and bow repairman, he is a fine bluegrass musician, too, playing several instruments. He spent several years apprenticing under one of the Southeast's most sought after instrument repairmen, the late Marvin Willis, of Morganton, NC. In 1997 Danny bought the Bluegrass Center in Asheville, NC, a thriving acoustic instrument shop. Danny is now the proprietor of Bishop Violin Shop, specializing in instrument repair and sales of new Collings guitars and mandolins.
